  • Anthony Parrish

    Anthony Parrish

    Director of Training

    Anthony has been a Professional Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor since 2019. In that time, he has worked with a variety of clients both one on one and in group settings. This has allowed him to hone his skills and become adaptable to client needs.

    Having participated in a variety of sports and athletic activities, that has helped Anthony develop a great understanding of how the human body performs and how to train for different activities. Having played hockey and football, along with competing in Spartan Races and even an Ultra, it allows him to help share training methods and educate clients and members in various ways. 

    Specializing in Strength and Conditioning and Sports Performance, Anthony likes to think of everyone as an athlete in their own way. Whether it’s helping someone prepare for a Marathon, to play rec league sports better, to be able to do a Push Up or Pull Up, or even a box jump, to something as simple as being able to go up and down their stairs. These are all athletic pursuits in their own right and new, achievable goals for many. Along with general health, fitness, and mobility, Anthony’s goal is to help people achieve as many of these goals as they can.

    Bria is a certified personal trainer, glute specialist, and founder of BeeautifullyFiiTLLC, proudly based at Onyx Athletic Club. With a background in athletics and a passion for women’s empowerment, Bria blends movement, mindset, and motivation to help clients build strength while improving their confidence. Her mission is to create a safe and powerful space where clients can thrive organically.

    Bria specializes in functional strength training offering both personal and group sessions designed to sculpt, challenge, and restore the body. Whether she’s cueing perfect form during a lift or guiding a class through mindfulness and breathwork, Bria meets every client where they are—pushing limits with purpose and intention.

    Outside of training, you’ll find Bria advocating within law enforcement as a Director in Corrections, curating wellness content, planning her next vacation, leading her signature “Abs and Assets” program or simply pouring into the community through self-care practices.     Coach

    Emily is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and Registered Dietitian based at Onyx Athletic Club. She is passionate about the powerful connection between physical activity and mental well-being, and is dedicated to helping others experience the transformative benefits of regular exercise and pushing their physical limits.

    With a strong belief that food and movement go hand in hand, Emily combines her expertise in fitness and nutrition to create personalized programs that optimize wellness, improve overall health, enhance physique, and build confidence—both in the gym and in everyday life. Her mission is to make fitness approachable and enjoyable for individuals of all levels.

    Outside of training, Emily can be found spoiling her rescue pittie, developing/sharing recipes on her social media and leading a morning run club every weekend at her favorite place, the Detroit Riverfront.

  • Gaby Corrales

    Gaby Corrales

    Fitness has always been a huge part of her life. Growing up in Miami, she was constantly on the move - playing basketball, volleyball, and soccer and quickly discovered how much she thrived in group environments that pushed her to be her best. That early love for sports and team dynamics naturally evolved into a lifelong passion for fitness, and eventually, a career dedicated to helping others feel strong, capable, and empowered.

    She specializes in strength training and functional movement, with a focus on building real-world resilience and confidence both inside and outside the gym. Her approach is about more than reps and sets, it’s about creating lasting habits, embracing consistency, and having fun while doing it.

    Before making Detroit her home in 2017, she lived in New York City and Los Angeles, each city influencing the way she trains, moves, and connects with people. Outside of training, you’ll usually find her in a hot Pilates class, hanging out with her cats and friends, or doing just about anything active. She’s also a huge nerd and gamer at heart!

    Whether you’re stepping into the gym for the first time or looking to take your strength to the next level, she’s here to meet you where you are and help you go further than you imagined.

    Working with Izzy means receiving a straightforward, effective training program tailored to your unique structural imbalances. She focuses on what your body specifically needs—no cookie-cutter routines or unnecessary complexity.

    When not helping clients achieve optimal movement, Izzy enjoys writing, contemplation, playing sports, and appreciating quality coffee.

With demonstrated success in urban education settings, football coaching, and private gym environments, He is dedicated to empowering individuals through evidence-based training methodologies and comprehensive support.

    Kelly Sundberg

    Director of Marketing

    Kelly is the Director of Marketing at Onyx and works full-time in Digital Marketing. With four years of experience as a personal trainer and a background in nutrition from college, she brings both expertise and passion to the fitness industry. Kelly is deeply committed to living a healthy lifestyle, connecting with like-minded individuals, and helping others do the same.

    Outside of her work, she enjoys exploring new workout studios, trying local restaurants, visiting farmers markets, and discovering great coffee shops. You can often catch her taking classes at Onyx—where she’s just as dedicated to the experience as she is to promoting the brand.

  • Annie Goering

    Annie Goering

    Director of Operations/Founder

    Annie is the operations guru at Onyx. She also works full-time in product management at Ford Motor Company. Annie has always been passionate about fitness, first as a D1 athlete and then as a NASM certified personal trainer and avid marathon runner. Annie loves just about any type of work out class and is excited to grow the Onyx community.

    Annie splits her time between Detroit and Austin, TX. She spends her free time testing out new work out classes, traveling all over the world, and going on long walks with her three dogs. You can occasionally catch her while she’s in town at Onyx or out for a run around downtown Detroit.
